On April 16th, 10 students from West Boise met with Mayor McLean and Library Director Dorr to advocate for better library access in West Boise.
They presented pages with drawings or messages, addressed to Mayor McLean, Director Dorr, City Council Members, and Library Trustees, from more than 100 students.

Mayor McLean commended them for taking action in their community and coming to meet with her. She shared that she chose the Secret Garden for a book about gardening for the 2025 Ultimate Book Nerd challenge.
