WEST BOISE: INCLUDE US IN THE LIBRARY’S NEXT CHAPTER!
West Boise Advocates to Hold Press Conference Urging Inclusion of Library Branch in City Facilities Plan
BOISE, ID – Citizens for a Library in West Boise, joined by local elected officials and community leaders, will host a press conference on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. to advocate for the inclusion of a West Boise library branch in the city’s upcoming facilities plan.
“West Boiseans have been helping fund the city’s library system for years. With a clear gap in coverage, the city now has an opportunity to demonstrate that it listens to its residents by including a West Boise branch in the facilities plan,” said Mark Salisbury, Founder of Citizens for a Library in West Boise. “If West Boise is left out of this long-term plan, it could be another 30 years before our residents enjoy the same access to library services as the rest of the city.”
The Boise City Council and the Library Board of Trustees meet on Tuesday, October 14 to decide what Boise’s library system will look like for the next 20+ years.
